Public parking still allowed at No. 10 Sixth Street

No. 10 Sixth Street will continue to allow public parking in its paved parking lot.  New signs will be placed there that put a three-hour time limit on public parking.  If a proposed condo builds out nearby, then the agreement with the city will require eight specific parking spaces be so designated for the public.  The issue is discussed by the Astoria City Council, where the council learns that the parking agreement initiated in the 1990s was never fully acted on.  Proposed language for the new signs will be presented to the city council at its next regular meeting.
