Lower Columbia 12-yr-olds Face Quick Elimination, 7/12

It was a tough weekend for the Lower Columbia 12-year-old Cal Ripken All-Star team as they went 0-4 at the North Oregon State Tournament at West Linn's Oppenlander Fields.
On Friday, Sandy got past Lower Columbia with a 6-4 victory before the West Linn A team crushed the coastal boys 16-1.
Lower Columbia closed out pool play Saturday afternoon with an 11-0 loss to Dallas' A team. After a stacked pool, L.C. crossed over to face the number one team from the opposite pool in the single elimination round, falling to West Linn's 11-year-old state champion squad 4-1. The West Linn 11-year-olds dominated their pool, outscoring Newberg, West Linn 12B and Sandy B by a combined 50-3 margin.
