Jeff was born in Astoria in 1957...and became toddler king in a baby contest a year later. As these photos attest, he's still adorable. Jeff went to the University of Oregon and graduated in 1981 with a degree in Telecommunication with a minor in marketing/journalism.
But it wasn't until 1984 that he landed his first disc jockey gig on KAST. Jeff in fact grew up listening to Chuck Walters on KAST and Judy Goff in later years. Jeff slowly began getting into the news game in the early 1990s and continues in that area today.
Jeff is a big Star Trek fan, and once talked to idol William Shatner on the Larry King radio show on KAST. Jeff says that William Shatner is the greatest living actor of our century. Jeff doesn't read as much since having elective laser eye surgery over six years ago, but he loves Stephen King and other fiction.
Jeff is a big pet lover and has a 14-year old cat named Ragsy, who appears to be a Maine Coon with big fluffy hair.
Jeff lives with his soon to be 79-year old father, who is an excellent cook. Jeff likes to jog, bicycle, and lift weights to work off those calories.
