FERC drops Bradwood from Thursday agenda

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has dropped the Bradwood Landing LNG terminal items from its thursday agenda. FERC's Tamara Young-Allen says the commissioners don't usually explain why they knock something off their meeting agenda, but in this case, so many comments were submitted since June 6th when ferc issued the final environmental impact statement, commissioners wanted time to review the comments. Young-Allen says the commission could choose to approve the project at any time, and does not have to wait for a meeting date to do so. The commissioners give no indication when a decision might be made.

Northern Star’s Joe Desmond doubts FERC will make any decision before its next scheduled meeting in September. Desmond says there are still a lot of agencies that have to sign off on the project, including NOAA fisheries.
