Clatsop County Commissioners get a briefing Wednesday on the status of setting up a permanent Emergency Operations Center, or EOC, at Warrior Hall at Camp Rilea. County Human Resources Director Dean Perez says a recent meeting with members of Oregon's military in Salem show broadbased support for the concept. Chief Deputy Paul Williams says a preliminary estimate of equipment costs finds it will be about $160 thousand dollars for what the county wants to install at Camp Rilea. Williams says the bulk of that money could come from funds set aside for architechtural work on a new jail, which likely would not happen this fiscal year. A formalized proposal is expected to go before the board in August.
