The Astoria city council inspects the new roof atop city hall just prior to Monday night’s regular meeting. Bob Carlson Roofing and Sheet Metal is putting the finishing touches on the $214,000 project, which had been delayed from last summer. Water leaks should now be a thing of the past.
Next up, the city hopes to remodel the inside of city hall with upgrades to the heating and electrical systems and reassigning office space to make it more user friendly for the public and city staff.
